There are many beautiful cities in the world. Abu Dhabi and Hong Kong are two of the most exciting and interesting. In this essay I will discuss the similarities and differences of these two unique cities.
There are a lot of similarities between Hong Kong and Abu Dhabi but I will talk about only three. First, they both have many tourist destinations. In Abu Dhabi tourists can visit Emirates Palace hotel, the Heritage Village and the wonderful beach and corniech. In Hong Kong they can go to Victoria Peak, Repulse Bay and the central markets. Second, they both have free education. In Hong Kong it is free and compulsory from 6-15. In Abu Dhabi it is free from five to post graduate. Finally, Abu Dhabi and Hong Kong are famous for shopping. In Abu Dhabi you can shop at Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi Mall and Khaldiya Mall. In Hong Kong you can buy all your needs in the Central market and many other different shops. This means that there are many similarities between Hong Kong and Abu Dhabi.
There are also many differences between the two cities and I will discuss three of them. The first difference is the economy. Abu Dhabi’s economy depends on oil and gas, Hong Kong’s economy is based on trade. They buy and sell many items. The second difference is the language and religion. In Abu Dhabi most people speak Arabic and English, but in Hong Kong they speak Cantonese and English. Also, the religions are different; in Hong Kong most people follow traditional Chinese religions whereas in Abu Dhabi most people are Muslim. The last difference is the weather. Hong Kong has a subtropical climate. The average daily temperature is between 26⁰C and 31⁰C in the summer and there is 2159mm of rain every year. On the other hand the temperature in Abu Dhabi in the summer is between 35⁰C and 47⁰C and there is very little rain. These are the most important differences.
In summary, we can see a lot of similarities and differences between Abu Dhabi and Hong Kong. In my opinion everyone should visit both of these wonderful and exciting cities.
