Traffic congestion and parking problem in AD..

Traffic congestion and parking problem are serious problems in Abu Dhabi. There are many reasons which lead to these problems.

There are many reasons why we suffer traffic jams every day. One of these is the rapid growth of the population. As a result of this, the number of cars is increasing annually. A further point is that there are more female drivers and younger drivers today than in the past. The increase in the number of trucks and commercial vehicles also causes traffic congestion. These vehicles move very slowly, sometimes stopping to unload goods, and blocking traffic. Road works are a final major problem that can lead to streets being very crowded.

Traffic congestion also has many effects. One of the most important is parking problems. People find it difficult to park their cars, especially in the city center. Long delays in getting to and from work are another result, leading to less productivity from employees. There are also more accidents, because people become frustrated or angry due to the traffic jams. Finally, pollution in the city center worsens as a result of car emissions, and the city becomes a less attractive place to live. Shops are forced to close in the city center and have to relocate to malls or to the outskirts of the city, where parking is available.

In conclusion, the best solution is to use a metro. This will solve both problems, traffic congestion and parking problems. In my opinion relocating government departments and colleges is a good solution but it will cost too much. I hope that traffic congestion will disappear in the near future.

Hurricanes and tornadoes..

Hurricanes and tornadoes are very dangerous. They can cause a lot of damage and death. The table shows us some features of hurricanes and tornadoes. In this essay, I am going to talk about these features.

First of all there are very few similarities between the tornadoes and the hurricanes. One of these similarities is both of them will damage and will coast very high amounts to repair every thing to make it the same as before it hit the towns and villages. One more similarity is neither hurricanes nor tornadoes can be controlled. There is a lot of differences in this table which are the minimum wind speed of the tornadoes is 40 mph where as a hurricane is minimum wind speed is more than the tornadoe's by 30 mph, but the maximum wind speed of the tornadoes is from 250 to 300 mph while the hurricanes' maximum wind speed is from 155 to 200 mph. One more difference is that the tornadoes can hit for 20 minutes or less but the hurricanes can hit between 2 to 3 days for a wind area but it can usually be predicted more exactly where hurricanes will hit 6-10 hours beforehand.

As you can see hurricanes and tornadoes are different from each other. For me I think the hurricanes are more dangerous than the tornadoes, because they have a huge width which can cause a lot of damage.

Top ten producing dates countries, 2001..

The bar chart shows the top ten countries producing dates and their annual production in tonnes, 2001.

First, Egypt took the lion's share of production with over 1 million tonnes while Libya took the last rank with 0.1 million tonnes. Iran came in the second rank with more than 0.8 million tonnes. The UAE produced approximately 0.8 million tonnes which is a little bit more than Saudi Arabia. Pakistan's production was exactly the same to Iraq's production with more than 0.6 million tonnes. Algeria's crop was half of the UAE's crop and produced approximately 400,000 tonnes. Finally, Oman supplied the world with nearly 250,000 tonnes while Sudan produced approximately 200,000 tonnes.

In conclusion I’d like to say that dates are not only a great way to get minerals but also a luxury treat and traditional sweet which is not very cheap to get, that is why H.H.S.Zayed Bin Sultan was interested in this treasure.

The table above shows some information about four different cars from different companies.

First of all let’s start with the Japanese cars which are the two cheapest in price; the Toyota Corolla, very reasonable in price around $15,55 and has a 14cc Engine and can go for 48 miles per gallon; the Nissan Micra is a bit less in price but as the price gets less so dose its engine performance which is 12cc but can go for 52 miles per gallon, it only coasts $15,500; the American cars are well known for their speed and strength, that’s where the Ford Focus comes in with a price of $15,800 but can only give you 1400cc which is no different than the Toyota Corolla but it can go for 50 miles per gallon; the Volkswagen Golf is a German car, not only does it have the biggest engine size it is well known of its German luxury, it is a bad choice to make for an economic car because it costs $18,250 and only gives 40 miles per gallon.

In conclusion, we can see that Japan produced the most economical cars and the highest percentage of sales. The Volkswagen Golf is the most expensive while the Nissan Micra is the cheapest.
